Also named, based in another state

AI assistants named these companies too, but MacRAE'S lists them in a different state, not Washington. They belong to that state's ranking, not this one.

Company	State	Mentions
Nationwide Boiler Inc.	California	3 of 15
Pacific Combustion Engineering	California	2 of 15
Burnham Commercial (via regional reps)	Pennsylvania	1 of 15
Cleaver‑Brooks (via local rep network)	Georgia	1 of 15
GVA Northwest, LLC	Oregon	1 of 15

Named, but placed in another state

The AI answers themselves put these companies in a different state, so they were not counted for Washington. Whether MacRAE'S lists them elsewhere is not yet known.

Smith Hughes Co.	Ohio	7 of 15

The five questions we asked

Every company in this cell is measured on the same questions, written the way a buyer would type them. That is what makes the ranking a comparison rather than a collection of anecdotes.

1“Best suppliers of industrial boilers in Washington”
2“Who supplies high-pressure packaged fire-tube industrial boilers in Washington”
3“I need a Washington industrial boiler partner for a new food processing plant installation, who should I talk to”
4“Top industrial boiler suppliers in Washington for facilities and maintenance buyers”
5“Which Washington industrial boiler companies can handle turnkey installation and commissioning of 100,000 lb per hour steam systems”
6“List 20 industrial boiler companies in Washington with their specialties.”the roster question

Each question is asked more than once, which is why a company's score is out of 15 answers rather than out of the number of questions.
