Also named, based in another state

AI assistants named these companies too, but MacRAE'S lists them in a different state, not Illinois. They belong to that state's ranking, not this one.

The five questions we asked

Every company in this cell is measured on the same questions, written the way a buyer would type them. That is what makes the ranking a comparison rather than a collection of anecdotes.

  1. 1“Best suppliers of forgings in Illinois”
  2. 2“Who supplies custom closed-die steel forgings in Illinois”
  3. 3“I need a Illinois forging partner for a 10,000-piece heavy truck axle component run, who should I talk to”
  4. 4“Top forgings suppliers in Illinois for OEM purchasing buyers”
  5. 5“Which Illinois forging companies can handle near-net-shape alloy steel parts with full traceability”
  6. 6“List 20 forgings companies in Illinois with their specialties.”the roster question

Each question is asked more than once, which is why a company's score is out of 15 answers rather than out of the number of questions.
