Also named, based in another state
AI assistants named these companies too, but MacRAE'S lists them in a different state, not Illinois. They belong to that state's ranking, not this one.
| Company | State | Mentions |
|---|---|---|
| American Welding | Rhode Island | 4 of 15 |
| Circle M Weld & Fab | Alabama | 1 of 15 |
| Machine Shop & Supply | Minnesota | 1 of 15 |

The five questions we asked
Every company in this cell is measured on the same questions, written the way a buyer would type them. That is what makes the ranking a comparison rather than a collection of anecdotes.
- 1“Best welding service companies in Illinois”
- 2“Who supplies structural steel welding services in Illinois”
- 3“I need a Illinois welding services partner for a short-run custom machinery frame build, who should I talk to”
- 4“Top welding services suppliers in Illinois for industrial maintenance buyers”
- 5“Which Illinois welding service providers can handle certified AWS D1.1 structural welds”
- 6“List 20 welding services companies in Illinois with their specialties.”the roster question
Each question is asked more than once, which is why a company's score is out of 15 answers rather than out of the number of questions.
